Dogukan Belozoglu aka DOGU
is a young independent artist.
With the use of a single image DOGU is able to tell a whole story using maximum cynicism,
tenderness and creativity!
The only thing we know is that it was born in Northern Russia in December 1982. As a young
adult it fled to Turkey because it could no longer stand the cold or its people's way of life. It
particularly disliked fish, the only food in that part of the country. In Turkey it got involved in art
and discovered plasticine, which it would never stop using. Recent rumours say it is living and
working in an underwater capsule at the bottom of an unspecified alpine lake.
During its travels Dogukan Belozoglu manages to interweave various collaborations within different
environments and contexts thus creating a network of contacts and visitors beyond the
national borders.
In 2011 the DoGukan Movement was founded. The team is made up of Deejay, chef, barman and
various technicians - they take care of organizing DoGu's major events and exhibitions.
The DoGukan Movement handles everything apart from the actual plasticine itself.

-Sets up and coordinates the Officina Riva project, promoted by Riva del Garda town hall and the
Alto Garda Museum. In February ,2013, it works for Craffonara city art gallery of Riva del Garda.
-Collaborates with M.a.r.t. (Modern and Contemporary Art Museum of Trento and Rovereto) @ the city art gallery of Trento on "Civica Lounge" #1 February 2014 - #2 May 2014

-Collaborates with Daniele De Michele a.k.a. Donpasta on the editorial ARTUSI REMIX prj, December, 2014
-Collaborates with the education department of M.a.r.t. on a number of workshops for
children "Workshop d'Artista" called "I B I S ◈ D O G U" January 2015
-Collaborates on variuous big screen and tv productions as painter, assistant scenographer, and attrezzista.
-Collaborates with the Archaeological section of the Arts faculty Trento University. February 2015
-Attends Raku Ceramics workshop held by Stefan Manevala andpromoted by Wunderkammer Museum of Trento.
-Collaborates with the "Wurkmos Foundation" collective from Milan and Wunderkammer Museum of Trento on the "Belli Dentro" project.
-Collaborates with the education department of M.a.r.t. on a number of workshops for
children "Workshop d'Artista" called "TUTTE LE IDEE" February\March, 2016
-Attends a workshop for adults at the "Educational Day 2016" promoted by A.M.A.C.I. c\o M.a.r.t. Rovereto
-Collaborates with the garage\punk band Magic Cigarettes, on the creation of the animated video
"Maghreb Food"
-Collaborates with Café de la Paix, Trento, and manages the "Or The Whale" exibition
-Works as an actor for the documentary "The Argonauta" dedicated to Giuseppe Sebesta, written and directed by Andrea Andreotti, photography Sebastiano Luca Insinga and produced by Filmwork Trento.
-He works to the design of new laboratories at the Contemporary Art Museum of Trento and Rovereto (M.A.R.T.) for the season 2017 \ 2018 based on the work and studies of the famous graphic artist Fortunato Depero
-He works occasionally at disco club "Lab 05" of Trento to the creation of video effects, mapping, visual, stage lighting and video projections, suggesting videos geometric animations elaborate live mixing images and video of various content.
